It’s not difficult for me because I’m a bit geeky (oh, minor bug: I got a backslash before the apostrophe in the code I was given to copy-paste after uploading).

But if I compare the way Blogsome (and Wordpress in general) deals with adding photos to posts, I think it can be improved. For example, there could be an optional “add photo” field in the “Write” admin pane, with a “float left / float right” option. That would take care of some basic needs for lambda users.

Any thoughts on that, anyone?

It takes some time (like… more than 10 minutes?) to change though — not very good for people who want to try out different themes to see what suits them. It also gives the impression that the theme chooser doesn’t work.

A test photograph.

Uploading the photo wasn’t a big deal, apart from the fact that there is still an encoding issue somewhere. The code I was given to display the photo was the following:

<img src="http://bunny.blogsome.com/uploads/
bunny/20030204lacpully-ouchy3.jpg” alt=”Lake Léman under rough weather.” />

You may or may not note that my beautiful Léman was mangled in the process.

Well, here is the photo:

Compared to how things happen on skyblog, I see a possible improvement. Instead of being just given a page with the HTML code to copy and paste, why wouldn’t I be directed straight to
post.php
, with the HTML code for the photograph already in the post editing area?

One step less, might be appreciated by newbies.
